About Me

Tyler Vanice is a Companion in the Ancient Order of Druids in America (AODA) who lives in Northern Virginia next to Washington, D.C. He serves AODA as their Groups and Events Coordinator since 2023.  He is an Ovate in the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids (OBOD) and is a charter member of Potomac Protogrove in the Reformed Druids of North America (RDNA). He works in museums and volunteers his time supporting various nonprofits in his community. Coming from a Catholic background, he searched a path that had fit him more spiritually. He first joined OBOD 2020 but was walking down the path of Druidry in 2016 when he initially found books and articles relating to Druidry as he strolled through forest paths to find shortcuts to the Metro stations.

Being an active member of a few of these organizations, I would be glad to have you join us, whether it be one of my groups I participate in or not.  The Potomac Grove is a fun small group who is looking for members to join them on the High Days and I know the Wilderness Between is a Home Circle in AODA. I will be glad to help initiate in these two orders if that is something you desire in the D.C. region. 

This website was created based of a desire to know what the local communities are in the region. When I started exploring druidry years ago I found it difficult to find local groups (which was not by design on their part).  The druid community is small, and not everyone has the skillset to create a good website. If I did not include you, that is because I didn't know about your group (hence the website) and I would love to add you to this list .I hope this website serves a local resource to those who are interested in the path of druidry to find what they are searching for.
